Bucket List

My friends recently got me on the kick of creating a bucket list. Let me tell you, it's not as easy as you may think. I literally sat and thought for a good hour or so just trying to wrap my head around on what all I wanted to do. There were a million thoughts running through my head. Am I going to do all of these things by the time I'm 30? 40? 50?

Once I got on a roll, the ideas came marching in twenty at a time. I now have created a page-long list of things I would like to get to do. When? Who knows. But as I was reading over this list, one thing stood out to me. I couldn't put my finger on why, but it stood out. Number thirteen on my list reads: "Witness a miracle". When I wrote out my list, number thirteen really did not grab my attention. It was today as I was walking on campus on a beautiful winter day that number thirteen grabbed me and took my head on a Texas Giant rollercoaster of a ride.

Number thirteen: witness a miracle. What is a miracle? The dictionary defines a miracle as an extraordinary event in the physical world that surpasses all known human or natural powers. Sound familiar? We wake up each day to a miracle. We wake up each morning and live the life we live through our Savior. This is our extraordinary event in the physical world. Christ surpasses all known human or natural powers. The blessings that each and every child of God is showered with daily-- miracles. Each day we live in our purpose driven life-- miracles.

Number thirteen: witness a miracle, can now be scratched off my bucket list. Not only have I witnessed a miracle through all the beautiful blessings that I have been given from above, but I live in a miracle. I live in a beautiful miracle written by God. The Lord has created my story and has big plans for me in this world. That is my miracle I witnessed today. One of the infinite number of miracles.

Think about the miracles you witnessed today. Maybe you too can cross something off of your bucket list.
